Software Engineer needed to work with radar simulation project in support of a major missile defense system; a candidate with interest in software engineering and real-time simulation software development is desired. Candidate will assist in development of a real-time radar test driver designed to provide missile system component simulation in support of end-to-end and component element testing. Duties will include defining software requirements, implementing real-time embedded code in a Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) environment, developing supporting software and test documentation, unit/integration testing, and software maintenance and problem resolution under a CMMI Level III software development process. Candidate must possess competency in data structures, multi-threading / multi-tasking programming environments, be proficient at Ada and C/C++ computer languages and be capable of working in a Linux operating system environment. Familiarity with reading Matlab code and very good verbal communication and writing skills desired. A minimum of a BS in Computer Science or a related engineering / scientific discipline with associated software development experience is required. 5 or more years software development experience in Ada and C/C++ required. Applicants must possess or be able to qualify for a government secret clearance. Background in U.S. Air and Missile Defense programs a plus.

Responsible for the administration and maintenance of systems running Red hat Enterprise Linux (v4.x and v5.x), Solaris (8&9), SGI, IRX, HP-UX and Windows XP. Administer enterprise class systems running a wide range of UNIX/Linux operating systems. Support and troubleshoot a large range of enterprise server hardware. Write technical documentation such as “as built” documents, administration procedures, and work instructions.
Will work and support senior staff with project planning, proposals, network administration, planning and implementation of new systems. Ability to work in a critical production service environment. Experience in the configuration and maintenance of DNS, NIS, NFS, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP, Samba, IPTables, Apache, and MySQL. HSG diploma or equivalent with a minimum three (3) years experience administrating enterprise class systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Solaris 8 or 9, SGI, IRIX, and HP-UX11.11. Experience in administrating Windows XP Professional. Must have CompTIA Security + certification or equivalent. Must be able to obtain RHCT/RCHCE certification within 6 months of hire. The ability to obtain and posses a DOD secret clearance is mandatory.
