  Senior Software Developer

A senior Software development person is needed to develop THAAD Simulation Driver (TSD) software based on a legacy Sim-Over-Live Driver (SOLD) application for the Advanced THAAD Driver (ATD) Program. TSD is a HWIL simulation driver that interfaces with the THAAD BMDS weapon system.

Familiarity with any of the OrbExpress communications middleware package, the Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol, or the Common Truth Interface (CTI) interoperability framework is also desired. Software development for this effort will include the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) processes as adopted by the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) of the US Army Aviation Missile Research, Development and Center.   THAAD System Operator

Job Responsibilities
The THAAD Evaluation Center (TEC) Advanced THAAD Driver (ATD) team is seeking an Entry-Level System Operator to perform the execution of the THAAD element during test events. The applicant will require some knowledge of Missile Defense systems, Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) operations and test. The position will include collaboration within a team environment while emphasizing individual contributions to effectively complete a test event, which can span from a few weeks to several months. The candidate will be required to operate one of many workstations, on an as needed basis, to include, but not limited to: THAAD Fire Control and Communications (TFCC), THAAD Radar (AN/TPY-2 TM), Simulation-Over-Live-Driver (SOLD), Common Data Link Interface-Module (CDLI-M) and the Network Systems Integration and Test Environment (NSITE) workstation. The THAAD System Operator will be required to learn individual component specifics as required to conduct tests, such as component initialization parameters and specific test operating procedures. The System Operator will also be required to perform data collection and post-test processing of data. Travel may be required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: The candidate must possess a SECRET clearance and at a minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). The candidate shall possess the ability to operate workstation-like computer hardware running UNIX based operating systems and to edit files in text based editors such as vi, nedit or gedit. Candidate must be able to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds, including government and prime contractor personnel. The candidate must be a dynamic, highly motivated individual that can effectively demonstrate both technical and communication skills

Desired Qualifications: Prior experience working in or with military air and/or missile defense systems, simulation war-games and exercises, working knowledge of Distributed Interactive Simulations and their Protocol Data Units, knowledge of Common Truth Interface messaging, as well as an understanding of the Joint Tactical Information Data Links (specifically Link-16). Experience with or knowledge of the THAAD weapon system or another BMDS element is a plus.

Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues. Provide incident notification to Government representatives.

Work is performed in 24/7 environment and must be able to work second/third shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Possess at least two or more of the following: Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+, Network+, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification.

Additional required certification –

IAT 1: A+CE, Networks+CE, or SSCP; CCNA

Secret – SSBI Security Clearance required.

Under general supervision, operate all aspects of Information Systems, data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems.

Develop and execute security policies, plans, and procedures; implement data network security measures; operate Network Intrusion Detection and Forensics; handle Information Systems security incidents; support COOP/DR plans, and perform certification of Information Systems and Networks.

Operate Electronic Key Management System, other information security duties, and Public Key Infrastructure.

Operate Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, other point of presence security tools, Virtual Private Networks, and related security operations.
