TMI engineers provide equipment design and prototyping for multiple microgravity experiments such as the Solidification Using a Baffle in Sealed Ampoules (SUBSA), Toward Understanding Pore Formation and Mobility During Controlled Directional Solidification in a Microgravity Environment (PFMI), Particle Engulfment and Pushing (PEP), and the Wetting Characteristics of Immiscibles (WCI) experiments.
TMI's approach to equipment design and prototyping has provided NASA with flight-proven hardware, meeting all requirements, within schedule and cost requirements. TMI has developed experiment designs for scientist jointly with NASA and international partners.
