Davis Defense Group, Inc.

Davis Defense Group is a woman-owned small business, with a Zone 2 Seaport-e contract. Our primary capabilities are in the first-response training, risk assessment, and logistics fields, as detailed below.

Training:     Our training programs are the heart of our business—they are an important part of what keeps us in touch with the ever-changing needs of the first response community. We offer a wide variety of classes, from basic awareness training to advanced chemistry and WMD lab courses. Our trainers have years of experience in their field and are regularly requested by name by federal, civil and private organizations. We have a wide variety of customers, including the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps and National Guard, as well as state and local response agencies. Each trainer is hand-picked to ensure he or she has both expert knowledge of the subject matter and familiarity with the structure and SOPs of the individual customer.

Hazard Vulnerability Assessments:     Davis Defense provides hazard vulnerability and needs assessments for the military and first response communities to help determine what gaps, if any, a unit needs to consider in the event of a disaster. Our program factors in the customer’s specific cost and schedule, requirements and expected outcomes, so that each solution is unique. Analysis for its own sake can waste enormous amounts of time and energy, which is why the Davis team uses a tested systematic approach that analyzes specific risk mitigation costs and benefits to result in a measured recommended course of action. Upon customer approval, a second team is sent in to execute the plan—whether that means conducting training courses, developing personnel databases, or creating/performing equipment maintenance, repair and procurement schedules. The job isn’t done until the customer is better off than when we found them.

Logistics:     The logistics necessary to maintain a stock of response equipment can be daunting. The key factor is equipment readiness—our team develops the system to achieve the customer’s readiness goals. The Davis Defense logistics teams consist of DAWIA Level III Logisticians, Warehouse Specialists, Equipment Technicians and Database Programmers who can cover the gamut of equipment management issues. We have provided inventory analysis; bar coding and scanning; maintenance, repair and calibration; inventory database programming, to include readiness threshold alarms, supply alerts, calibration and maintenance scheduling, and more; as well as acquisition and competitive sourcing support. We can provide support for any budget and any level of sophistication.
