Distance Learning Platforms

The completion of the design phase of the development process forms the basis for the curriculum and provides direction to the multimedia developer. The distance learning platform selected is derived from a media selection model and will result in one or a combination of the following media.

Computer-Based

We design computer-based programs (CD-ROM) custom programs using Macromedia Director and Quicktime incorporating graphics, video, audio, text, and navigation. We also create custom programming for hybrid (web and CD) projects.

Web-Based

Our web-based programs are designed in Flash and Dreamweaver. We archive programs using Zip, Jazz, and a high-speed 24-gigabyte tape backup system. This back-up system eliminates costly changes to a previous project because all project data is saved in a digital format, which facilitates easy changes or modifi cations.

Interactive Multimedia

We create dynamic, database-driven web pages and interactive scripts called by CD-ROM projects using PHP 4.0. Program Administration Scripts for server and database management with Perl. Our web-based interaction is completed using Flash, PHP and JavaScript for online functionality.

Classroom-Based

We have access to a cadre of qualifi ed platform instructors.

Video-Based

Video-based training programs offer an effecive method of training for small group instruction. These programs include a student study guide, a facilitator guide, and a video that presents the actual material.

Video Teleconference / Tele-Training

Bringing people together from different locations for a face-to-face meeting is expensive and time-consuming. Our 600 square foot state-of-the-art facility, can provide you with point-to-point or multipoint conferencing for a fraction of this cost.
