Title

Description

Program Manager

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience working in a multimedia rich environment such as video, Interactive Multimedia Instruction, computer-based and web-based training programs, and informational design. Shall have experience in managing a team composed of scriptwriters, video production specialist, animators, multimedia programmers, and graphic designers.
Functional Responsibility: Directs performance of several tasks or projects organized by technology, program, or client. Proven expertise in management and control of technical performance, funds, schedule, and resources. Duties include planning, directing, controlling, organizing, and coordinating the work activity of personnel involved in all aspects of multimedia production, including schedules and cost.
Minimum Education/Experience: Shall have a Bachelors Degree in Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline and ten (10) years experience.

 

Video Director

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience with all elements of multimedia production including video, Interactive Multimedia, graphics, animation, and Graphical User Interface designs.
Functional Responsibilities: Responsible for the creative decisions of a multimedia production. Interprets scripts, expresses concepts to set and costume designers, conducts auditions and select cast members, conducts rehearsals and directs the work of cast and crew. Approves the elements of the production, including sets, costumes, choreography, and music.
Minimum Education/Experience: Degree in communications or related field and ten years experience in training development, video production or Interactive Multimedia Instruction.

 

Subject Matter Expert

Functional Responsibilities: A Subject Matter Expert is a highly skilled individual who has an acknowledged specialized acquisition, logistics, and/or technological expertise in the specific functional tasks required for performance in an individual task order. It is anticipated that such individual possess an advanced degree (Master or Doctorate) in either a technical, business, or management area, from an accredited college or university; or a BS degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university; or 15 or more years of defense/industrial or acquisition experience in the field of expertise.

Technical Writer I

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience in writing scientific, technical, engineering or other professional materials in accordance with applicable standards. Shall be capable of completing specific writing assignments in a clear and concise manner. Must work with engineering, logistic and design/drafting personnel to gather data for various manuals and publications. Shall have general experience in the field of technical writing/editing with specialized experience in planning, developing, maintaining, and rewriting documents.
Functional Responsibilities: Duties include writing and/or rewriting reports, articles, software documentation (e.g., operator manuals, reference manuals, and pamphlets) for information management systems and new releases of technical material. Applies word processing, graphics and audiovisual communication techniques for technical or scientific subject matter; and assisting programmers and engineers in developing on-line documentation.
Minimum Education/Experience: Shall have a two-year college degree and zero to five years experience in the area of technical writing.

Functional Responsibilities: Shall have extensive experience in the field of technical writing/editing with specialized experience in planning, developing, maintaining, rewriting, and producing computer software related documentation including tailoring style and readability to user requirements. Shall have experience in assisting program managers and engineers in developing on-line documentation.
Minimum Education/Experience: Shall have a Masters degree and ten years experience in the area of technical writing. Five additional years of experience may substitute for the Masters degree. Ten additional years experience may be substituted for the Bachelors degree.

Graphics Designer I

Minimum/General Experience: Must have the ability to conceive and produce top-notch publications, graphics, brochures, and slide presentations.
Functional Responsibilities: Prepare graphics, publications and programs. Develop exhibit concepts and designs. Perform layout, production and installation.
Minimum Education/Experience: An associate’s degree in graphics or a related field and three years experience in graphics design, preferably in an academic setting. Three additional years experience may be substituted for the associate’s degree.

 

Graphics Designer II

Minimum/General Experience: Must have the ability to conceive and produce top-notch publications, graphics, brochures, and slide presentations.

Animator

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience with a range of media including print, celluloid, two-dimensional and three-dimensional models to create images which are recorded on video or used in Interactive Multimedia Instruction. Shall have a working knowledge of 3D studio, animated pro, waveFront, LighWave, GameWave, Alian or other software specialty programs required to support the designated task.
Functional Responsibilities: Creates physical characteristics and personalities of characters in different positions to coincide with movement in a given direction, and synchronizes lip movement with words, and action with music and sound effects. Manipulates visual images or models while recording to video.
Minimum Education/Experience: Degree in Art, Computer Aided Imaging and Visualization, or a related field and zero to five years experience. Five additional years experience may be substituted for the degree.

Video Editor

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience with linear and non-linear video editing systems such as Media 100 and Avid. Shall have experience in various stages of video production, i.e. camera operation, audio and lighting, shooting for edit, editing and post-production activities.
Functional Responsibilities: View processed video with production personnel to analyze, evaluate and select scenes to be incorporated. Select stock shots from video library for incorporation. Trim video segments to specific lengths, arrange and join them in sequence to enable the content to be presented with maximum effect. Edit and balance music and effects. Compress into Quick time or AVI is platform is a Computer-Based training program.
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in communications or five years experience.

 

Camera Operator

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have a working knowledge of linear and digital camera equipment.
Functional Responsibilities: Shall set-up, position, and operate camera equipment in studios or on location to videotape people, events and scenes. Inventory videotapes, prepare labels and store in video library.
Minimum Education/Experience: Technical school or 3 years experience.

 

Gaffer

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience with safe and efficient execution of lighting setups.
Functional Responsibilities: Duties include maintenance and repair of electrical equipment. Provides general support to the video department in the pre-lighting, rigging and the light equipment operation.
Minimum Education/Experience: Technical school diploma or three years experience.

 

Grip

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience with video or film production. Shall have knowledge of various elements of video equipment such as cameras, lighting, dolly and dolly track and set design.
Functional Responsibilities: Assist camera operators prepare for a moving camera shot by constructing the track, upon which the dolly or crane will roll, carrying the camera. Grips are also responsible for moving the crane or dolly during this shot. Grips contribute to the lighting process; after the set lighting technicians have placed, aimed, and adjusted the lights, Grips set up the equipment used to cast shadows necessary to achieve desired effects.
Minimum Education/Experience: High school education and five years experience.

Photographer

Minimum/General Experience: Shall have experience operating a wide range of cameras, lights, and light-measuring devices. Areas of specialization include press, fashion, scientific, commercial, industrial, or advertising.
Functional Responsibilities: Duties include set-up, positioning, and operating camera equipment in studios or on location to photograph people, events and scenes. Determines camera angle, light positions, exposure and composition. May use computers for such things as image manipulation and the production of visual images in print and digital form.
